Join the kick-off event to introduce the newly created Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Interest Group. Hear about the group’s goals and learn how to get involved. Introductory remarks will be provided by Leo R. Asuncion Jr., AICP, APA President. We want to hear from you on how the API Interest Group can support APA and API planners and communities.
Also featured also will be an inspiring conversation with Chancee Martorell, founder and executive director of the Thai Community Development Center, who is a planner, activist, and community organizer in the nonprofit sector. She has worked tirelessly throughout her career on affordable housing development, neighborhood revitalization, small business promotion, immigrant rights, and social justice, and is best known for her work on several human rights cases involving over 2,000 Thai victims of human trafficking within the United States.
Additionally, help shape the API Interest Group by taking a few minutes to complete a brief interest survey. We will share the results at the event.
