Winning isn’t everything, but we can often learn a lot from projects that have been deemed worthy of an award. This webinar will showcase projects that demonstrate how communities can function more sustainably, through the lens of award-winning (and award-nominated) projects. Simon Mills, head of Sustainable Development for the City of London, will discuss case studies from his book Sustainable Cities, which profiles selected winners and nominees of London’s 2013-14 Sustainable City Awards. Joining him will be Neil Angus, who will discuss the Devens Sustainable Housing Pilot Project, which won the 2015 Sustainable Development Project Award from the APA Sustainable Communities Division. Both speakers will discuss lessons learned from these case studies about what is needed to create sustainable communities.
Speakers: Simon Mills, Neil Angus. 1.5 CM pending.
