Celebrate American Planning Association’s (APA) 2019 National Community Planning month with a discussion about affordable housing and transportation improvements as “infrastructure that benefits all.”
With an estimated shortfall of almost 517,000 affordable units, LA County is experiencing an unprecedented affordable housing crisis. In light of this severe shortage of affordable units, LA County has been successful in securing much-needed funding for affordable housing through the State’s competitive Affordable Housing & Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program, one of the largest funding sources for affordable housing and high-quality transportation improvements in California. Join Enterprise Community Partners’ Alejandro Huerta for this talk that will highlight the affordable housing needs of the region, how the AHSC Program is creating connected communities throughout LA County, and showcase stories from residents.
This is the second session of our October Speaker Series aimed to provide an interactive learning experience through diverse speakers and planning topics.
