Supportive housing provides both permanently affordable housing and support and services so that our most vulnerable populations can live stable lives. But these projects are often difficult to pencil out due to land and labor costs, difficulties in acquiring financing, expensive permitting and much more. The Terner Center for Housing Innovation recently completed research comparing costs across several San Francisco supportive housing projects, including ones that utilized modular housing technology and application streamlining. The results are eye-opening. Come learn what they found, and explore how their lessons could be applied for significant cost savings across the state.
