Date(s) - Nov 19, 2021
9:00 am - 10:30 am

Part of the Sacramento Valley Section 2021 Speaker Series

Hosted by OPR, Co-sponsored by APA California and Caltrans

The confluence of societal, structural, and physical upheaval witnessed in 2020 is not only happening in the United States, our state, and our regions; it is happening worldwide. The necessary changes are complex and time-consuming. How do international planners see these transformations and what are they doing to ensure social equity, environmental justice, and an inclusive transition? The Coast to Coast (C2C) initiative at OPR exchanges Trans-Atlantic knowledge and innovation regarding transportation planning challenges and opportunities. C2C is bringing you access to engage with local and international experts, practitioners, and planners to inspire and reflect through a moderated panel discussion.

Moderator: Peter van Deventer, Director Coast to Coast, OPR

Panelists: David Blum, Lecturer/Instructor Land Use Planning, University of Washington, USA; Derek Taylor, Mobility Analyst, Goudappel, USA/NL; Paul Hoekstra, Technolution, USA/NL; Professor Maarten Steinbuch, Technical University Eindhoven, The Netherlands; Warren Logan, Open Streets expert (Invited)
