Please take a moment to help us identify those diverse leaders who helped break down barriers and advance the roles of people of color, women, and others in our profession.
We are accepting Candidate names. Details below…..

The 2008 annual conference in Hollywood marked APA California’s 60th anniversary. Under the leadership of the Chapter’s Historian, Betty Croly, the “60 Years of Accomplishment” booklet was prepared and unveiled at the conference. The APA California 6oth Anniversary Committee is also working, with a grant from APA California, on a video of APA California’s history to be released next fall.

As we continue to explore the Chapter’s history with an emphasis on the spirit of inclusionary planning, the Chapter Board of Directors has enthusiastically directed the formation of a Committee to expand on our research and identify those contributions made to the profession by individuals from minorities, women, and underrepresented groups. The Committee is now formed and working to have an expanded history ready for the 2009 Conference in Lake Tahoe. The Committee is requesting your help to ensure that a comprehensive list of individuals and their planning contributions statewide are compiled.

Please take a moment to help us identify those diverse leaders who helped break down barriers and advance the roles of people of color, women, and others in our profession. If you think of someone whose contributions should be there, please let us know. A documented source of accomplishment may be required for consideration. Please send you candidate names to mavurbanplanning@gmail.com
