The City of Richland is seeking a Development Services Director for this thriving city in southeastern Washington located at the confluence of the Columbia and Yakima Rivers. THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, the Development Services Director manages a diverse and substantial economic development portfolio which includes advanced clean energy opportunities. The Director will play an instrumental and influential leadership role in the visioning and implementation of downtown and riverfront redevelopment, permitting process improvements, Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update, and other transformative initiatives. The Director oversees a department budget of $9.7 million (including capital) and a team of 21.5 FTEs. Direct reports include the Building Official, Planning Manager, CDBG/HOME Administrator, Economic Development Manager, and Administrative Assistant II.
