AB 1220 passed the last week of session and is on the Governor’s desk. The bill would expand from over one year to three years the statute of limitations to sue a city or county, challenging the adoption of a housing element or a number of related ordinances. While AB 1220 was introduced with a five year SOL, during the last week of session the bill was amended to three years. The bill is still too long and we have requested a veto from the Governor.
Please send a letter to the governor asking for a veto on AB 1220. We are asking that you send a letter as soon as possible. Click here for the letter that was sent on behalf of APA CA.
