Opportunity to Serve on the CPF Board

The mission of the California Planning Foundation (CPF), an APA California affiliate, is to award scholarships to planning students who excel in their studies and to further the professional practice of planning in California. Do you have a desire to contribute to the success of planning students and professionals?  Then CPF is looking for you! Three seats are available for four-year terms.

Eligibility

Elected officers must be members in good standing of APA. Membership in AICP is desirable. Chapter-Only members may hold any Chapter elected office except President-Elect/President, Vice President for Administration,  Vice President for Conferences, and Vice President for Professional Development.

Commitment

The Chapter Board meets four times per year. In-person Board meetings are held in late January (including a Board retreat) and on the day prior to the start of the Chapter Conference. Two additional online Board meetings are held in May and December. Elected officers are members of the Executive Committee, which holds a monthly one-hour online meeting. Board members are asked to invest time as needed to carry out the duties of their position, outlined above.
