In this role, you will support a variety of activities that help shape and guide community growth and development. You will undertake research and analysis and play a key role in developing visual communication materials that translate complex land use concepts into clear, accessible information for a variety of audiences. In addition, you will play a lead role engaging community members on land use planning projects and policy initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Creating graphics that simplify complex technical information.
  • Researching, analyzing, and compiling information to inform planning projects and policy initiatives.
  • Preparing high-quality technical planning documents, maps, and analyses.
  • Playing a lead role on community engagement.
  • Performing other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Advanced skills researching, analyzing, and compiling land use planning information Advanced skills with InDesign Adobe Illustrator, and SketchUp Experience engaging diverse community members Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is desirable Current / Upcoming Projects: Concept planning for a proposed residential growth area Equitable Development Strategy and Transit-Oriented Development Plan for the Tualatin Valley Highway corridor Comprehensive Plan updates.

Required Skills / Experience / Education

Job Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or related field and, as assigned, up to two years of municipal planning related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Salary Range

$82,490.00 - $108,552.00 Annually
