Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) has released Request for Proposals (RFP) for OPR’s General Plan Guidelines and supplement documents. OPR staff is looking for qualified consultants to update the guidelines in the timeframe of June 2024 to March 2026. The budget is $2,105,000. The Scope includes but is not limited to:
- Comprehensively update and rewrite: –
- OPR’s 2017 General Plan Guidelines
- A Planner’s Guide to Specific Plans
- OPR’s 2005 Tribal Consultation Guidelines
- Create an interactive website for the Updated General Plan Guidelines (Shall be integrated with OPR’s website WWW.OPR.CA.GOV )
- Review and provide comments for two Technical Advisories (will be created by OPR staff or separate contractors during contract time)
- Climate Action Plans Technical Advisory
- Open Space (SB 1425) Technical Advisory
