The County of Nevada, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks an Assistant Planner/Associate Planner to conduct planning studies and related activities pertaining to the administration, development and enforcement of the general and community plans, land use and zoning ordinances, and to perform related work as the need arises.
Required Skills / Experience / Education
Minimum requirements include (Assistant) a BA in planning, natural resources, environmental studies or a related field, and one year of experience in a public or private land use environment performing planning related duties comparable to those of a Planning Technician or comparable position; or three years of experience performing duties comparable to those of a Planning Technician. The Associate Planner requires (in addition to above) two years of experience in a public or private land use environment performing planning related duties comparable to those of an Assistant Planner.
