Employees utilize state of the art technology and equipment to support operations and functions. The City recently began a expanded telework pilot program that allows the opportunity for applicable city staff to remote/telework.   Under direct and general supervision, the Assistant Planner performs various professional-level work in current and/or advanced planning and special projects. Completes technical assessments and studies and prepares written analyses and reports. Performs community outreach and education. Required Skills / Experience / Education

Education and Experience Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in urban design, city planning, environmental studies, engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in planning or a related field is preferred. Licenses and Certifications Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License by time of appointment.

Salary Range

$109,503.47 - $133,102.32 Annually
