  • Up to $107,556 per year DOQ, plus benefits.
Senior Environmental Planner
  • Up to $126,401 per year DOQ, plus benefits.

Required Skills / Experience / Education

ASSOCIATE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER Knowledge of: - Principles and practices of technical and functional supervision and training. - Principles and practices of urban planning and development. - Principles and practices of project management. - Environmental review standards and processes, including knowledge of CEQA and NEPA and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports, Initial Studies, Negative Declarations, and other related environmental documents. - Pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances and rules, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Subdivision Map Act, Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) and California land use and planning law. - Technical report preparation and review. Architectural terms, practices, and methods. - Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment, including use and application of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and database programs. - Pertinent local, State and Federal rules, regulations and laws. - Principles and practices of work safety. - Principles and practices of customer service. Experience and Training: Any combination of education and experience that will provide the ability to perform the work and provide the performance results as stated above. A typical way of obtaining the education and experience would be: - Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in environmental, land-use, and/or long-range planning. - Equivalent to completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in urban and regional planning, environmental studies, or a related field. - A Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of professional experience described above. Licenses and Certificate: - American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is preferred. - Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license. Licenses and Certificate: - American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is preferred. - Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license.

Salary Range

$7,349.33 - $10,533.47/month, DOQ
