Job Description
Culver CityBus is seeking a Transportation Planner to join our growing Multi-modal Transportation Planning team. The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transportation tasks and projects including multi-modal corridor concept development, bicycle and pedestrian analysis and improvement concept development, multi-modal transportation analyses and design, transit operations planning, and community outreach.
The Culver City Transportation Department is responsible for the planning, delivery, and management of Citywide mobility initiatives and services to reimagine mobility, connect community, and enhance the quality of life in Culver City and the Westside communities of Los Angeles. The Department’s mission is to plan, operate, and maintain the movement of people to, through, and from Culver City through its exemplary services, hardworking staff, and innovative culture. This Department is led by the Chief Transportation Officer and is comprised of 195 dedicated staff who work across the Administration, Transportation and Mobility Planning, Fleet Services, and Transit Operations Divisions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way (not the only way) is the possession of a BA/BS degree and two years of professional administrative work in a public sector environment.
